An FCAMPT physiotherapist has been specially trained in the art of manual and manipulative therapy. They are fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists – CAMPT.

An FCAMPT Physiotherapist provides an in-depth, hands-on assessment of all orthopaedic based conditions. They utilize manual and manipulative techniques appropriate to their patients’ musculoskeletal findings.


Assessment Features

General assessments may include the following:

  • Postural analysis
  • Gait analysis
  • Joint play & mobility testing
  • Joint & ligamentous stability testing
  • Biomechanical analysis
  • Capnograph/breathing assessments
  • Neurodynamic mobility testing
  • Myofascial & muscular length tension testing
  • Motor control testing


Treatment Techniques

Treatments vary from patient to patient, and may include any of the following:

  • Joint mobilization and/or manipulation

  • Postural re-education
  • Computerized biofeedback eucapnic (breathing) retraining
